VALLEY OF THE DOLLS Japanese movie poster (1967) - My Favorite Japanese posters (Part 7)

Another example of the serenity of Japanese movie posters with sumptuous faces of angelic women looking very melancholic. Melancholia is a feature than can be found in many images in Japan.

The Mark Robson directed movie features Sharon Tate and 2 other young women caught in pill popping frenzy and drug addiction and is a classic of the Exploitation genre so famous that it spawned a sequel directed by Russ Meyer, Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls

I Could Go On Singing was Judy Garland’s final film. Though, in 1967 she got the role of Helen Lawson in Valley of the Dolls, but due to some disagreement she left the picture after only some pre-recording sessions and costume tests.

Having kids changes one’s life, partly because you have to now share control of the television with someone new. Luckily, Yo Gabba Gabba is there to help and bring cool bands into your now shared life, like Devo who are still weird and still rocking.

I saw this little guy at Davis Sq. (Somerville, MA) this afternoon. I don’t know who turned this newspaper dispenser into a raging robot, but whoever did it was brilliant.
